It’s everyones Birthday at Mr. C’s

There has been beautiful weather in LA this week! A few days ago, my aunt and cousins drove up from San Diego to come visit me. We stayed at our favorite hotel and restaurant in Los Angeles: Mr. C’s Beverly Hills. Also known as Cipriani’s, they also have locations in New York, Miami, Ibiza, Venice, Hong Kong, Dubai and a few other locations.

My aunt and cousins adore the Cipriani location in New York. They introduced me to the Los Angeles location when it first opened up three years ago. It’s been my favorite place ever since and it’s always a treat to stay at Mr. C’s.

Every aspect of the Cipriani experience is top notch. From the accommodations to the food & drinks, the customer service, and the ambience. No matter what occasion it is, it always feels like everyones birthday!

At my birthday dinner last year with my cousins and Alessandra Ambrosio!

It’s a funny story, we were all at the dinner table and I was telling my cousins that Alessandra Ambrosio was at Mr. C’s a week ago. I saw a picture she posted on instagram. Then ten minutes later, she walks in and sits with a group of girls next to us. It was very exciting as she is one of my favorite Victoria Secret models! It’s every girl’s dream to meet a VS model šŸ™‚

Here are a few of my favorite dishes:

Prosciutto and Argula Pizza

Three Cheese Tagliolini

For drinks I love signature bellinis, mojitos and cappuccinos.

Their food is one of the best parts of the experience. We love ordering room service for breakfast. Between my cousins, aunt and I, this is all gone within 5 minutes! Everything is just too good!

I always tell myself, I’m going to eat healthy at Mr. C’s but it never happens. They have plenty of healthy options, but I always want to indulge when I am there! I only go once in a while so how could I not šŸ˜‰

Estoy loca o enamorada de EspaƱa?

San SebastiƔn

My name is Maraya, and I am obsessed with Spain. The first step is admitting you have a problem.

It’s been 9 months since I’ve returned to California and I still can’t get my mind off of Spain. Physically, I am currently in Los Angeles, CA but mentally my mind is in Spain. I spend all my time consumed thinking about the precious semester I had in Salamanca. I’m always thinking of ways to go back there and continue my adventures.

Sometimes I wonder if I am crazy or if I am being ungrateful. I am from California, one the most desired places to live in the world. I have family and friends in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County and I can easily live in any of those places. Our weather is amazing all year around, the variety of food is unbeatable, there is so much more opportunity in the California and in the US… yet I would rather be in Spain.

Ways to go back to Spain:
1) Get an internship
2) Graduation present – Summer 2015
3) Teach English – Fall 2015
4) Go to grad school

I am already planning my next Spanish adventures. San SebastiƔn and Valencia are my two favorite places. I loved the vibes, both places were unique, beautiful and captured my heart.

I have so many amazing memories in Madrid and Barcelona, so going back is inevitable.

I want to explore more of the Basque Country, CataluƱa, the South, the North West, the Balearic Islands… I want to explore it all!

I love California and it will always be home… but I felt something in Spain that I’ve never felt before and I want to feel it again. I was effortlessly high off of life! I still have so much to see, so much to learn, and so much to explore in Spain. My adventures are not over yet, they’re just beginning!
